SAN FRANCISCO and SYDNEY, July 8, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Krux (www.krux.com), the global technology leader in cloud-based data management, has opened its first international research and development (R&D) center in Sydney to expand the company's engineering capabilities and address the needs of a 24/7 marketplace.

The new R&D center will be strategically located in Sydney, Australia's hub for high-tech business growth and development. It is Krux's second such facility; the first is based at the company's headquarters in Silicon Valley.

Heading up the new R&D center is Seth Yates, a senior technology professional with more than two decades experience with Internet startups, large global professional services companies and software development companies. Mr. Yates joins Krux as vice president of technology.

"In just a year's time, Krux has expanded its international footprint onto four continents as we address the needs of our rapidly growing international clientele," said Vivek Vaidya, co-founder and CTO, Krux. "We are delighted to have Seth as the leader of our newest international R&D center and his extensive expertise in media technology will help us to meet the needs of our clients while maintaining a true around-the-clock engineering operation."

Krux has been rapidly growing in the Asia-Pacific region with the appointment earlier in the year of Stu Spiteri as managing director, Asia-Pacific, based in Singapore and last month of Jo Gaines as country manager, Australia.

"Krux is the clear thought leader in this space with cross-device user identification, data security and real-time actionability," said Mr. Yates. "I am excited to be joining the highly talented and motivated Krux team.  With this new center, we will be tapping into the engineering talent available in Australia to ramp the innovation and provide expanded world class engineering support."

Prior to joining Krux, Mr. Yates was founder and chief technology officer of Brandscreen, Asia-Pacific's leading demand-side platform which was eventually sold to Zenovia in March 2014. He also served as chief technology officer for Independent Digital Media and Fairfax Digital and has held several engineering, information technology and consulting roles at Microsoft, Ernst & Young and Intergraph Corporation.  Mr. Yates is a member of the OpenRTB Project Management Committee, a steering committee for the IAB OpenRTB standard.
