Bixby Energy Systems Appoints Philip Wood to Board of Directors

MINNEAPOLIS, July 28 /PRNewswire/ -- Bixby Energy Systems, Inc., (www.bixbyenergy.com), a new-energy technology development company, has appointed Philip Wood to its board of directors.

Currently a consultant for Lothbury Financial Services, Ltd., which specializes in oil, gas, mining, IT and retail for the London Stock Exchange AIM Plus markets, Mr. Wood has extensive experience in the energy sector.

"Philip's addition to the board is an important step for  Bixby, as his many years working with energy companies will help propel Bixby forward during this very exciting time," said Robert Walker, chairman, CEO and president of Bixby Energy Systems.

Mr. Wood also serves as chairman and chief executive of Peter Wood & Co., a business management company specializing in the oil, engineering and metals sectors.  Under his management, the company developed and grew into Europe's largest cobalt trading business.  

He was executive chairman of Global Marine Energy PLC, where he was responsible for raising pounds Sterling 16.7 million in restructuring the once-failing company, as well as organizing its sale at a 70-percent profit to its UK market price.  He was also chairman of Global Marine Energy's wholly-owned subsidiary, Patriot Mechanical Handling, Inc., where he turned around the company's finances and built its pounds Sterling 130 million order book.
